Featured Business Friday- Many Vendors Under One Roof pt.1

So I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated the blog, but life has been crazy and now that the school year is over and I get to focus all my time on the business, you can expect me to catch up on blog posts! You will see some change in topics and I plan to make it a little more personal and broaden the topics outside of the wedding and photography industries, so look for those changes in the coming weeks.

Today I’m going to introduce quite a few local businesses from an amazing project I help put together about a month ago- a mock wedding at The Luv Shack on the River in Fountain Inn. There are so many great details and images from the shoot that I’m going to have to split it up into at least 2 features, but I can’t wait to share these super fun images with you!

First I’d love to intoduce our amazing baker and cake artist, Karrie Daze with Buttercream Bakehouse. This is definitely a favorite in the upstate for amazingly creative cakes with a taste to match. If this is the artist you’d love to help add some tasty creativity to your special day make sure to schedule your appointment and book early as they are extremely popular and stay busy.

Next is a newer business that I just adore! Angelika with Angelique’s Florals was actually suggested to us by Karrie Daze so as a note to brides, if you love one vendor make sure you ask for suggestions for other vendors they love and you’ll be sure to build a team that’s just perfect for your big day!

Angelika came to us towards the end of our planning stage, but you would never know by looking at the amazing job she did. We told her our theme and the main colors and she just came up with such an amazing creation for each part of the wedding, that we all just fell in love! She took each new task we threw at her with such ease and grace and was prepared the day off for even more challenges like additional bouquets and boutonnieres. While you should never just throw additional tasks like this on your vendors, knowing that they are prepared for such an event is well worth their weight in gold.

The designs really fit in with our theme and actually made use of the natural features ot the property helping to cut down on the costs as well as bring in those very personal details that help tie everything together! I really can’t tell you my favorite aspect of her designs, but if I HAD to choose it would be a tie between the green tendrils on the bouquet (with a name I can’t remember to save my life lol) or the use of the succulents which she told me can be replanted as a way to preserve part of your bouquet and perhaps be used in your own daughter’s bouquet one day!

The last one for today is Joy with Event, Decor, and More out of Simpsonville. Joy has a small corner spot right on Curtis St and is a great option for all your wedding rentals while supporting your local small business. She has connections for almost every item you would want for your event including white garden chairs, wood folding chairs (the best option for this space beside Chivari), table clothes, cocktail, round, and rectangle tables, arches, flatware and dishes, chargers, draping, and so much more.

I could see me having a wedding like this lol. I definitely learned that I am not a wedding planner lol I love being behind the couple and giving them my knowledge, but having someone else responsible for getting it all done lol.
